Fleming's 51-Yard FG Nets CC Player of the Week Honors

10/19/2026 11:07:00 AM

LANCASTER, Pa. – For the second time this season and the fourth time in his career, Michael Fleming has been named the Centennial Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. Fleming's latest honor comes after helping the Diplomats to a 17-7 win versus Dickinson to keep The Wagon in Lancaster.

During the victory, Fleming kicked a 51-yard field goal and was 2-for-2 on PATs. Fleming's 51-yard field goal was marked just one yard shy of the school record originally set by Mark Slevin against Swarthmore in 1983, and is tied for the fourth-longest in Centennial Conference history. It marked just the ninth time in CC history that a kicker converted a field goal of at least 50 yards. He also becomes one of just three players in F&M program history to hit a field goal of at least 50 yards. Fleming has now made 11 consecutive field goals, which is tied for the second-longest streak in CC history.

Football will be back at home this coming Saturday against undefeated Ursinus with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. inside Shadek Stadium. That game will be a part of the College's TrueBlue Weekend around campus.
