LANCASTER, Pa. – The weight throwers on the Franklin & Marshall men's indoor track & field team highlighted day one action of the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday. With the Diplomats serving as the host of the meet, they scored nine points on the day and are in eighth place in the team standings heading into the final day of competition on Sunday.
Ben Ostroski earned honorable mention All-Centennial Conference accolades and a bronze medal when he unleashed a personal best mark of 15.48 meters in the weight throw. Benjamin Ford was a second scorer in that event as his best throw was measured at 14.45 meters. Dustin Stoetzel made the finals of the weight throw and took ninth place with his best mark of 13.60 meters.
The Diplomats also scored a point in the 4x200 relay when the team of Greg Bruno, Jake Zion, Makonnen Martin, and Justin Harrison crossed the line in 1:37.35.
The Centennial Conference Championships wrap up on Sunday with action set to get started at 11 a.m. inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
