HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (1-3) earned its first win of the spring season as it blanked Stevens (4-1), 7-0, in Saturday evening's non-conference matchup.

The Diplomats got the day started winning all three doubles matches, starting with the pairing of Sophia Rhazali and Natalie Untermeyer earning a 6-3 victory in the No. 1 match for their first win together this season. The duo of Sahara Ahmad and Rebecca Bellick cruised to a 6-1 win in the No. 2 match for their second victory together this year. The tandem of Kakie Colclough and Lorena Saavedra downed their opponent in the No. 3 match, 6-4, to claim their second victory together this spring.

F&M continued its dominance entering the singles matches. Bellick overpowered her opponent, 6-0, 7-6, in the No. 3 match to earn her sixth singles' win of the season. Untermeyer outlasted her opponent in three sets to come out on top of a 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 victory in the No. 1 match for her third win of the year. Colclough rolled in the No. 4 match, 6-3, 6-4, to pick up her third individual victory of the spring. Amelia Squires claimed a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the No. 6 match to notch her third singles' win of the year. Rhazali finished off the match by recording a 6-5, 6-4 win in the No. 5 match for her second singles' victory of the season.

Franklin & Marshall looks to build to its momentum when it hosts No. 24 New York University  at the Hempfield Rec Center on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
