Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (1-4) was defeated by No. 24 New York University (5-2), 7-0, in F&M's first home match of the 2026 spring season Friday afternoon at the Hempfield Rec Center. The Violets jumped ahead early and never looked back, sweeping the Diplomats in the match.
The duo of
Sahara Ahmad and
Rebecca Bellick took the No. 2 doubles match to the brink, but were held off in a 7(11)-6(9) loss. In singles,
Kakie Colclough took the No. 4 match to three sets, winning the first set, 6-4. However, NYU's Emma Kast responded by winning the final two sets, 6-1, 1(10)-0(6) to overtake the match.
Franklin & Marshall heads to Orlando, Florida for three matches on spring break. The Diplomats open the trip on Sunday, facing Connecticut College at 4:30 p.m.
