HOBOKEN, N.J. – The No. 37 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (2-2) earned a dominant 6-1 victory over No. 39 Stevens (4-2) in Sunday afternoon's non-conference contest. After the Diplomats claimed wins in two of the three doubles matches, F&M finished off the day winning five of the six singles bouts.
The Ducks came out on top of the No. 2 doubles match, but F&M came right back. The duo of
Gonzalo Gentou and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach took down their opponent, 6-2, in the No. 3 match to improve to 2-0 together this season. The pairing of
Zac Ashtiani and
Luke Brodsky rallied past their opponent, 6-4, in the No. 1 match to secure their first win together this year.
Samuel Donnelly claimed his fifth singles' victory of the spring as he outlasted his opponent in three sets during the No. 3 match, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Brodsky also won his match in three sets as he held off his opponent in the No. 1 match, 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, for his third win of the season. Rudin-Aulenbach continued his impressive stretch, earning a 6-4, 6-1 win in the No. 4 match for his third victory of the spring.
Nate Arnold overpowered his opponent in the No. 5 match during a three-set battle, 6-3, 5-7, 6-0, to claim his second win of the year.
Gonzalo Gentou finished off the day for the Diplomats as he won the No. 6 match, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0, for his second singles' victory of 2026.
No. 37 Franklin & Marshall looks to continue its winning streak when it heads to Orlando, Florida for six matches during spring break. The Diplomats face Connecticut College on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. to begin the trip.
