LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (5-8, 2-2 CC) hit the road to play a non-conference match against Bucknell (10-10) Sunday afternoon. The Bison took control of the lead early and didn't let up, winning all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to sweep the Diplomats.

Sahara Ahmad and Rebecca Bellick kept pace with their opponents in the No. 1 match, but were denied in a 6-2 loss. Ahmad followed with a hard-fought effort in the No. 2 singles match as she came up just short, 7-6, 6-3. Erin Joo also battled in the No. 6 match, but couldn't overcome the deficit as she was defeated, 6-1, 7-6, for her first loss of the season.

Bucknell moves to 7-12 in its all-time series with F&M as the Bison have won the last six matchups.

Franklin & Marshall returns to Centennial Conference play on Wednesday, traveling to play Washington College on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
