CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (6-8, 3-2 CC) notched its third-consecutive win over a Centennial Conference (CC) opponent as it downed Washington College (8-8, 2-3 CC), 5-2, in Wednesday afternoon's match. After sweeping the doubles matches, F&M claimed wins in four singles matches to take home the victory.

The pairing of Sahara Ahmad and Rebecca Bellick hung on to win No. 1 doubles, 7(8)-6(6), to earn their eighth victory together this year. The duo of Sophia Rhazali and Natalie Untermeyer followed with a 6-1 victory in No. 2 doubles to claim their fifth win together this spring. The tandem of Kakie Colclough and Lorena Saavedra cruised past their opponents in the No. 3 match, 6-2, to pick up their third win of the season.

The Diplomats capitalized off the momentum as Ahmad won No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-3, for her fifth win of the year. Bellick followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win in No. 3 singles for her team-leading 11th victory of the season. Rhazali rallied past her opponent in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 1(10)-0(7), to win earn her fifth singles' victory of the spring. Saavedra closed out the Diplomats' day with a 7-5, 6-2 win in No. 6 singles for her fifth win of the year.

Franklin & Marshall looks to continue rolling when it hosts Bryn Mawr on Saturday for Senior Day, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
