LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (8-8, 5-2 CC) held onto a 5-2 victory over Dickinson (11-8, 4-3 CC) in Tuesday afternoon's Centennial Conference matchup. F&M earned two wins in doubles and four wins in singles to come out with the team-victory in the Diplomats' final home match of the regular season.
The duo of
Sahara Ahmad and
Rebecca Bellick eased to a 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles as the pairing earned its 10th win together this season. The tandem of
Sophia Rhazali and
Natalie Untermeyer followed with a 6-1 victory in the No. 2 match to earn their seventh win together this year.
Ahmad continued her dominant day after being named the CC Women Tennis Player of the Week earlier this morning. The sophomore cruised to a 7-6, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles for her seventh singles' win this spring. Bellick followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win in No. 3 singles to secure her 13th victory this season.
Kakie Colclough recorded her ninth win of the year as she downed her opponent, 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 4 match.
Sophia Rhazali closed out the win by taking down her opponent, 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 5 match for her seventh victory this spring.
Franklin & Marshall wraps up its regular season slate on Saturday, traveling to play Ursinus at 11:00 a.m.
