The Spring So Far

F&M has entered into three tournaments this spring, highlighted by Sarah Wang and Allie Tarreto claiming the top-two spots at the two-round McDaniel Spring Invitational in March at The Bridges Golf Club. Wang carded a 160 (+16) across the two rounds with a 79 (+7) on Saturday and an 81 (+9) on Sunday. Tarreto marked her best individual finish of her collegiate career with a second-place result, carding a 165 (+21) across the two rounds. She totaled 83 strokes (+11) on Saturday and 82 (+10) in the second round. F&M claimed fourth place from 11 teams competing with a two-round score of 734 (+158), posting the second-best score from four Centennial Conference programs at the tournament.

Wang continued her strong form by finishing in a tie for first with Dickinson's Hannah DeMario at a tri-match featuring the Red Devils and McDaniel at the Mayapple Golf Club. Wang posted an 82 (+11) for second place, while Tarreto was in third place with an 88 (+17). The team earned second place at the tri-match, ten strokes behind Dickinson with 380 (+96).

F&M wrapped up spring preparations with a third-place finish at last week's Dickinson College Invite from the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course, with a team score of 349 (+61). The event featured six Centennial Conference teams including tournament winners MArymount and last season's conference champions Gettysburg. Wang earned second place with a 74 (+2), finishing three strokes back from Marymount's Tinleigh Rusher.
