LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall wrestling team has once again been recognized as one of the top performing teams in the classroom by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). With a GPA of 3.466, the Diplomats ranked 19th for cumulative GPA across all Division I wrestling teams.

The No. 19 national ranking marks the sixth consecutive season that the Diplomats have been recognized by the NWCA for their excellence in the classroom. Franklin & Marshall was third among all EIWA schools this year and finds itself in the top 20 of the national rankings for the fifth time during this six-year stretch. The most recent academic recognition follows the team having four wrestlers named NWCA Scholar All-Americans: James Conway, Mason Leihpart, Josh Palmucci, and Brandon Carr.

On the mats, Franklin & Marshall went 7-3 in dual meets (4-2 EIWA). The Diplomats set new team records for both place winners and points at the EIWA Championships and qualified James Conway to his second NCAA Tournament where he advanced to the round of 12 after entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed at his weight.
