LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's W. Roy Phillips '34 Head Wrestling Coach Mike Rogers and his staff are excited to announce the addition of 14 new Diplomats to the team for the 2026-27 season. F&M graduated eight seniors from last year's team which saw James Conway earn the No. 4 seed at the NCAA Division I Championships. Conway was part of a program-record seven place winners at last year's EIWA Championships.
"This class brings a great mix of high-level wrestling experience, academic achievement, and the type of character we value in our program," stated Rogers. "These young men have competed against strong competition throughout their high school careers and have shown the work ethic and toughness needed to succeed at the Division I level both on and off the mat."
The geographically diverse class hails from eight different states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Indiana). Three high schools have multiple representatives joining the team, with three wrestlers from Paramus Catholic (Nick Barone, Guy Oelsner, and Isaiah Rodriquez), two from The Hill School (Pa.) (Cole Albert, Gabriel Smith), and two from Northfield Mount Hermon (Lucas Alvan, Brooks McMahon). The F&M Wrestling Class of 2030 also has strong local ties with Francis Burke (Elizabethtown HS) and Brody Musser (Ephrata Area HS) competing in the Lancaster-Lebanon League during their high school careers.
Rogers added that, "This class adds depth, talent, and competitiveness throughout our lineup and continues the momentum we've been building within the program. Combined with our returning core and the standards our upperclassmen have helped establish, we're excited about the direction of F&M Wrestling and the future of the program. We can't wait to welcome these young men and their families into our wrestling family."
