LANCASTER, Pa. – Ten F&M wrestlers represented the Diplomat Wrestling Club at the U23 Nationals and World Team Trials over the weekend. The team's success was highlighted by rising sophomore Brandon Carr earning All-America honors with his eighth-place finish at 86 kilograms.

Carr went 4-3 during the freestyle tournament, defeating Division I opponents from SIU Edwardsville, Michigan State, and North Carolina who were representing their various clubs. After three decisions in the championship bracket to reach the quarterfinals, Carr secured his spot on the podium with a victory over Nolan O'Boyle by a technical fall in round of 12.

Josh Hillard (70 kg) won three matches in consolation action (four total), with James Garcia (57 kg), Charlie Colantonio (61 kg), Tyler Fromm (74 kg), Alex Ortiz (74 kg), Jesse Scott (74 kg), and Leo Varga (86 kg) also collecting victories throughout the tournament.  Jack Parker (61 kg) and Dominic Wheatley (79 kg) also gained valuable experience at the national event.

The World Team Trials were held in Geneva, Ohio at the Spire Institute.
