Six Earn Conference Accolades for Men's Lacrosse

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's lacrosse team had six players recognized on the year-end awards announced by the Centennial Conference. The Diplomats' selections included three first-team All-CC picks (Ben Dale, Jack Luviano, Teddy Scarborough), one second-team (Jackson Barnhill), one honorable mention (Matt Marino), and one sportsmanship team (Braeden Klausner) honoree.

Ben Dale earned first-team All-Centennial Conference in his first season with the team. Dale led the team with 78 points for the eighth-highest single-season total in program history. He finished with 30 goals and 48 assists, tying him for the fifth-highest single-season assist total in school history. Dale finished with at least three points during 13 of his 16 starts, recording six hat tricks. His highest single-game point total game when he scored three goals and recorded nine assists against McDaniel to come within two points of the school record. His nine helpers were the third-highest single-game total in school history. Dale set seasons high in goals scored with four against both Haverford and Gettysburg.

Jack Luviano received first-team All-Centennial Conference recognition during his senior campaign after scoring a team-high 34 goals while adding eight assists for a total of 42 points. Luviano scored at least one goal during 14 of his 16 starts, tallying seven hat tricks throughout the season. He excelled in Centennial Conference action with hat tricks against Ursinus, McDaniel, Muhlenberg, Swarthmore, and Gettysburg – finishing the year with a season-high five goals versus the Bullets. Luviano ranked third among all Centennial players in scoring during conference contests.

Teddy Scarborough earned first-team All-Centennial Conference for the second consecutive season. Scarborough started all 16 games and logged over 900 minutes in goal while stopping 58.4 percent of the shots that he faced for the second-highest save percentage in the Centennial Conference. Scarborough made a total of 229 saves throughout the season and led the league with 14.31 saves per game. The junior made double digits saves in every game except Messiah where he stopped all six shots that he faced. His season high in saves came when he turned away 23 shots against Dickinson. Scarborough additionally collected 23 ground balls and caused two turnovers during the year.

Matt Marino received second-team All-Centennial Conference honors for the first postseason recognition of his career. The junior set career highs across all of his statistical categories, including 23 goals and 12 assists. Marino earned his way into the starting lineup during Centennial Conference play and scored at least once during each of those contests. Marino set a season high with five points (4g, 1a) during the non-conference win against Endicott before matching that output during the win versus McDaniel. Marino also scored multiple goals against Haverford and Muhlenberg to highlight six multi-goal performances.

Jackson Barnhill was named honorable mention All-Centennial Conference for the second consecutive season after causing a career-high 18 turnovers. A three-year starter, the junior has now made 44 starts during his first three seasons in Lancaster. Barnhill caused 11 of his 18 turnovers during the Centennial Conference schedule, highlighted by three caused turnovers against Haverford. His season high for caused turnovers came when forced three takeaways against Endicott while also accounting for a season-high six ground balls in that contest.

Braeden Klausner was selected to the Centennial Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team for the second time in his career. The senior previously earned that honor following the 2024. Klausner played in five games this season, recording his first collegiate point with an assist in the win against McDaniel while also scooping up a ground ball versus the Green Terror.

Men's lacrosse finished the 2026 season with an 8-8 record which including strong Centennial Conference victories against Ursinus, Haverford, and McDaniel. In the highly-competitive Centennial Conference slate, the Diplomats missed the playoffs by just a single spot. However, they will return four of their conference all-stars as the team looks to make another postseason run in the coming season.
