LANCASTER, Pa. – For the second straight week, a Franklin & Marshall football player has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week as Austin Hadley took home the latest honors following the Diplomats' 31-17 victory at Catholic. Hadley was a second-team All-Centennial Conference defensive lineman a season ago, but earns the first weekly honor of his career after the week three win. He takes home the same honor that was bestowed upon Nick Aravides after the Diplomats' win at Westminster (Pa.).

Hadley finished with a team-leading 4.5 tackles for loss as F&M held Catholic to minus-six rushing yards as a team. Hadley accounted for two of the team's five sacks and made eight stops in total - tying for the team lead in both of those categories. The victory over Catholic capped a perfect 3-0 record for the Diplomats in non-conference play.

In addition to his exploits on the football field, Hadley is a dual sport athlete for the Diplomats where he is the reigning conference champion in both the shot put (indoors) and discus for the track & field team.

Football will now have a bye week upcoming before the defending Centennial Conference Champions open up conference schedule on Saturday, October 3 against Gettysburg inside Shadek Stadium.
