WASHINGTON, N.J.-  After entering Tuesday's deciding round of The Gauntlet in the a three-way tie for the team lead, a one-under round of 287 put the Diplomats six strokes ahead of their nearest opponent to win the tournament. Two Diplomats finished in the individual top five, as Sebastian Botero claimed third and Max Silverman finished in fourth.

Entering the day in a three-way tie for first with a 300 (+12)  in a field where the top five sides were separated by three strokes, F&M went six strokes better than anyone else at 287 (-1) to win with a combined score of 587 (+11). 

Botero improved on an opening round 73 with a two-under 70, combining for 143 (-1) for third place. Across the 18, he totaled four birdies, 11 pars, and two bogeys, with a two-under score from the final five holes. Silverman moved up 15 spots in the standings to take fourth place. After posting a 75 yesterday, he carded a team-best 69 (-3) for a combined even-par score of 144. Silverman bounced back from a two-over front nine with a five-under back nine with five birdies, including each of the last five holes. 

Wayne He marked a one-stroke improvement from Monday, posting a 73 (+1) in the second round for a combined three-over 147 to tie for 13th. He totaled five birdies across the round. Pablo Rodriguez improved four strokes and seven places on Tuesday, carding a three-over 75, featuring two birdies, and a tournament score of 154 (+10) in a tie for 34th. Troy Gregg tied for 52nd after scoring a 12-over 84 for a combined score of 162 (+18)

The Diplomats next compete in the two-round Northeast Elite from the Williamsport Country Club on Sunday, September 27, and Monday, September 28. Tee times for the opening round begin at 11:00 a.m.
