WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team concluded the Northeast Elite on Monday afternoon with a third-place finish in the team standings, while Sebastian Botero led the team in the individual standings in a tie for third place.

After posting a team score of 291 in the first round, a 17-over 301 on Monday led to a combined score of 592 (+24) to claim third place from the 18 teams in the competition. The Diplomats were second from the five Centennial Conference schools competition, finishing two strokes behind second-place Gettysburg. 

Botero made a ten-spot climb on Monday, improving on a two-over 73 to open the tournament with a one-under 70 on Monday, finishing the tournament in a tie for third place with a score of 143 (+1).  Botero went two-under par (34) with three-consecutive birdies on the front nine before posting a one-over 36 on the back nine, finishing the round with a run of four pars and a birdie. 

Wayne He remained consistent, carding a 73 (+2) for the second-straight round to finish in a tie for tenth place with a score of 146 (+4). He recovered from a two-over front nine that included two birdies and a three-hole run of bogeys with an even-par back nine where he posted seven-straight pars and a birdie on the 19th hole. Riley Norton carded a 78 (+7) on Monday for a two-round score of 153 (+11) to tie for 35th. While the middle of the round included a run of six bogeys from seven holes, he finished the 18 with two birdies and a pair from the last three holes. Troy Gregg struggled following his even-par opening round, posting a 82 (+11) to finish with Norton in the tie for 35th place with an overall score of 153 (+11). Max Silverman completed F&M's team score on Monday with a nine-over round of 80. He finished the tournament with a score of 154 (+12) to tie for 43rd. 

The Diplomats return in two-weeks' time for the two-round Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic from the Waynesboro Country Club on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11.
