Diplomats Compete at Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall opened its 2011-12 indoor slate at the Jack Pyrah Invitational hosted by Villanova in women's track & field action last weekend. There was no team scoring in the event.

Martha Stefaniak delivered the highest finish of the day for F&M, capturing sixth place in the shot put with a throw of 32'9.75''. Katie Allison registered the other top-10 placing for the Diplomats, taking 10th in the pole vault with a mark of 8'11.75''.

In  the 55-meter hurdles, Claire Marshall placed 12th with a time of 10.02 seconds, while Samantha Greenberg finished in 10.32 to nab 14th.

Jessica Love took 16th in the 3000 meters with a time of 11:45.84.

F&M returns to action at the Yale Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10:00 am.
