COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall dominated the first 18:41 of its Centennial Conference (CC) matchup with Ursinus. Then nature intervened. A flash of lightning halted play for 61 minutes. On the other side of the break, it was all Ursinus which stormed back for a 7-5 win.

F&M (5-2, 1-1 CC) came roaring out of the gates with a pair of goals in the first 1:03. Colin McKew provided a perfect feed to Tristan Miller, who beat Bears' (6-1, 2-0 CC) Josh Baker in the top-right corner to make it 1-0 54 seconds in. Andrew Setain won the ensuing faceoff and worked a give-and-go with Billy Kempner for Setain's second of the season. Kempner struck on his own to give the Diplomats a 3-0 jump.

Jeff Ocampo got Ursinus on the board with 3:08 left in the first. The score stayed that way into the second quarter. With 11:19 left in the first half, lightning struck. It was well after 8:00 p.m. when play finally resumed. Ocampo went to work, getting the second of his four goals less than a minute back into action.

Jimmy Wenk netted the first of his pair, but it was answered by Ocampo, who later gave the Bears their first lead, 5-4. Wenk evened things back up late in the third, but Ursinus' Andrew Bean fired a shot home from 10-yards out past a screened Cameron Setian to give the Bears the lead for good. Setain and the Bears' Baker each turned away nine on the night.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday against Washington College.
