CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Sheena Crawley took first, defeating 185 other runners at the DeSales Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. Host DeSales won the team competition as F&M finished fourth out the 20 teams competing.
Crawley (22:57.73) finished a full minute ahead of a second place runner DeSales' Jessica Curry. The senior All-American has now won three races this season including the Rich Achzehn Classic and The Little Three Meet.
Mallory Reed (24:17.21) crossed the finish line in seventh only seconds away from recording a top-five finish. Julia Zielinski (25:43.60) came in 23rd in the 6K race while Kara Doolan (26:21.56) and Rachel Weiss (26:56.22) concluded the top-five F&M finishers as they finished 32nd and 44th respectfully.
F&M will be back in action on Saturday, October 27th at the Centennial Conference Championships. The event will take place at Haverford College and begin at 12:00 p.m.
