HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Sheena Crawley finished third to pace Franklin & Marshall at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted by Haverford on Saturday afternoon. Johns Hopkins took the team title with 24 points, followed by Haverford (87) and Dickinson (101) while F&M placed eighth with 201 points.
Crawley finished the 6k course in 21:20.4, just 17 seconds behind meet champion Hannah Oneda from Johns Hopkins. The finish marks the third straight year Crawley has placed in the top-10 and earned All-CC honors. The senior took seventh in 2010 and earned a fifth place finish last season.
Julia Zielinski (24:03.6) took 56th in the 113-runner field. Kara Doolan (24:36.0) and Mallory Reed (24:59.4) placed 67th and 69th respectfully, and Rachel Weiss (25:25.2) finished off the top five for the Diplomats coming in 78th. Zielinski, Reed, and Weiss were competing in their first CC Championship.
Alexis Teevens (25:33.7), Kim Hilfrank (25:51), Bridget Grogan (25:55.8) and Katie Lane (27:31.2) round out the F&M squad.
F&M will be back in action on November 10th, at the Mid East Regionals at Big Spring High School. The race is slated for 12:00 pm. start.
