Van Wingerden Takes Second in Javelin

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Arielle Van Wingerden placed second in the javelin to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team at the Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian on Saturday. There was no team scoring in the event.

Van Wingerden delivered the top finish of the day for the Diplomats, taking second in the javelin with a throw of 130'-05".

Caitlin Regan registered the other top-10 finish of the meet for F&M in the 400 meters. Regan raced to an eighth-place finish with a time of 58.53.

In the discus, Martha Stefaniak finished 11th with a toss of 117'-07". Kristen Marinaccio nabbed 16th in the long jump out of 41 competitors, finishing with a mark of 15'-11"", while Alexandra Hawkins recorded an 18th-place finish in a field of 41 in the 100 meters with a mark of 13.45.

F&M is back in action on Thursday for day one of the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
