The Week Ahead

Saturday, November 16 – F&M at VMI – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 17 - F&M at Stroudsburg Open – All Day

A Look at VMI

The Diplomats travel to VMI on Saturday. F&M leads the Keydets at 11-5-1 in an all-time series that dates back to 1927. Last season, F&M captured the first five bouts and held off a late Virginia Military Institute (VMI) charge en route to a 20-16 victory on Nov. 30 at the Mayser Center. F&M and VMI each won five bouts in the contest, but two major decisions and a pin for the Diplomats proved to be the difference.

The last VMI victory in the series came back on Dec. 2, 2011, by an 18-17 score in Lexington, Va. The Keydets enter the duel on Saturday with an 0-3 mark on the season that includes a 47-0 loss to No. 8 Virginia Tech. on Nov. 10.

A Look at the Stroudsburg Open

The Diplomats travel to compete in the East Stroudsburg Open on Sunday, a tournament F&M has not competed in since Nov. 19, 2005.
