LANCASTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team will face off against Rose-Hulman in the sectional semifinals of NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., hosted by Messiah. Tickets will cost $6 for adults, $3 for students with ID's and senior citizens and $2 for children ages three to 12.
The Diplomats advanced to the round of 16 for the first time in program history after taking down Catholic by a 1-0 score in the opening round, followed by a 3-0 shutout of the host Dickinson in the second round on Sunday. You can view video highlights from both of these contests by clicking here.
F&M (16-3-2) meets with Rose-Hulman (12-5-5) for the first time in the history of the program. The Fightin' Engineers reached the sectional semifinals by taking down Penn. State-Behrend on penalty kicks (0-0, 9-8 PKs) before upsetting the bracket's No. 1 seed Ohio Wesleyan by a 1-0 mark on Saturday.
Winners of seven-straight contests, the Diplomats will look to advance to Sunday where the winner will take on either Messiah (20-1-1) or Kenyon (16-4-3), who face off on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The sectional final is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start time on Sunday in Grantham, with the winner moving on to the final four.
