LANCASTER, Pa. – Haverford upset No. 15 Franklin & Marshall 11-10 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Tylus Field. F&M dropped to 9-4, 5-1 CC while the Fords improved to 6-6, 3-3 CC. The Diplomats' magic number stills remains at one game as they look to make the CC playoffs for the first time since 2005.  

The Fords went on a 6-0 run starting at 5:20 in the second quarter and continuing to 2:28 in the third to turn a 6-3 deficit into a 9-6 advantage.  Christina Clay had two in the run for Haverford before Tristan Miller scored his fourth goal of the game off a feed from Billy Kempner with one second showing on the clock to bring F&M with two, 9-7, heading into the fourth.

Henry Millson answered for Haverford with two straight in the first five minutes of the fourth and Jamie McCulloch matched him with two of his own to make 11-9 with 1:15 left to play. Michael Bossidy assisted McCulloch of both scores with the first coming at 8:01 and last goal going through at 1:15. 

Haverford won the ensuing faceoff, but turned the ball over and Carlos Pelaez came away with the groundball and found Miller for his fifth goal of the game to bring F&M within a goal with just 44 seconds left to play.  

The Fords again came away with the faceoff and again turned the ball to give F&M the ball with 15 seconds. After some extended ball movement, A.J> Reichert fired a shot that went just wide and time expired as Haverford came away with the win. 

Sean Kenny put F&M on the board with a score at 13:37 in the first and the Fords matched it a minute later before Kempner and Jordan Barr tallied goals to put F&M up 3-1 at 3:45 in the first. Haverford countered with two unanswered to tie game at 3-3 and the Diplomats responded when Miller scored three straight to put F&M up 6-3, which setup the Fords' game changing run. 

Scott Beury caused two turnovers and picked up five groundballs to pace the F&M defense while Pelaez and Mike Sanzone finished with three groundballs apiece. 

Cameron Setian had six saves and fell to 9-4 while Eric Caliendo improved to 6-6 with nine saves. 

F&M outshot Haverford 40-30, forced 16 turnovers and went 15-for-16 in clear attempts. 

The Diplomats return to action on Wednesday when F&M hosts Gettysburg at 4:00 p.m.
