MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Rebecca Swisher reset her own school mark in the pole vault for the third straight week to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday. The Dipllomats claimed 10th place in the 20-team field with a total of 33 points.
Swisher broke her own school record once again, this time with a vault of 11'-07.75", to grab top honors in the event.
Martha Stefaniak and Livia Meneghin posted solid results in the discus and shot put. Stefaniak secured third in the discus (119'-07") and sixth in the shot put (36'-07.50"), while Meneghin took third in the shot put (37'-00.50") and sixth in the discus (112'-11").
In the relays, the 4x100 squad of Olivia Bendit, Samantha Greenberg, Sylvia Zohrabian, and Alexandra Hawkins placed fifth with a time of 51.42, while the 4x800 team of Bridget Grogan, Mallory Reed, Kimberly Hilfrank, and Victoria Ngo also finished fifth at 10:35.21.
The Diplomats are back in action next Saturday at the Delaware Open and Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
