Box Score WESTMINISTER, Md. – Billy Kempner and Tristan Miller combined for six goals to deliver Franklin & Marshall a 7-3 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon. F&M has won four straight and improved to 7-3, 4-0 while the Green Terror fell to 3-9, 0-4 CC.
Kempner got things started when he buried a feed from Sean Kenny at 8:55 in the first quarter. The goal was Kempner's 105th career-point as he became the 27th member of the 100-point club last Saturday. Miller made it 2-0 at 7:27 for his 101st career-point as he also picked up career number 100 last week.
A.J. Reichert found Jordan Barr with nine ticks left in the first and Barr returned the favor with an assist to Miller at 13:36 in the second to make it 4-0. Reichert connected with Kempner at 9:22 for the man-up goal and a 5-0 F&M lead at the break.
Kempner scored the only point in the third quarter with an unassisted tally at 8:59 and Miller got his third off a pass from Ben Ross to make 7-0 with 7:07 left to play.
The Green Terror managed three goals in the final three minutes of action to close out the game.
T.J. Tynan had four groundballs with a caused turnover while Carlos Pelaez finished with a caused turnover and three groundballs.
Cameron Setian had a career-high 15 saves and improved to 7-3 while Christian Dallmus took the loss for the Green Terror.
The Diplomats return to action on Tuesday when F&M hosts Scranton at 4:00 p.m.
