Series History: Franklin & Marshall (6-0-1, 1-0 CC) hosts Stevenson (4-3-1) in non-conference action on Wednesday, before returning to Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday at Muhlenberg (4-3, 0-1 CC).

The Diplomats and Mustangs will square off for the third straight season on Wednesday, with F&M having won both of the previous contests. The Diplomats took down Stevenson 1-0 on Sept. 19 of last year, and secured a 3-0 victory in the first-ever meeting between the two sides on Sept. 3 of the 2011 campaign.

F&M and the Mules will meet for the 63rd time on Saturday, with the Diplomats holding a slight 30-28-4 series advantage. The Diplomats edged the Mules by a 2-1 score in their most recent meeting on Oct. 15 of last season.

Last Week: F&M secured a pair of one-goal road victories last week to remain unbeaten on the year. The Diplomats began the week with a 1-0 overtime triumph over Alvernia. Ben Beaver finished a feed from Olivier Streitz late in the first overtime to propel F&M to the victory in a tight, back-and-forth contest. Goalkeeper T.J. White posted four saves to earn the win in net.

In Saturday's CC opener at Washington College, the Diplomats controlled much of the possession and were finally able to break through the Shoremen defense in the 79th minute, again from the foot of Beaver. The senior forward pounced on a loose ball on the right side of the box and lofted the game-winner to the far post.

Shutout Streak: The Diplomats have played 658 minutes of shutout soccer through seven contests, earning them the No. 1 ranking in the NCAA national rankings in both team goals against average and shutout percentage. F&M remains the only team across NCAA Division III or Division I soccer to have not surrendered a goal this season.

Record Book Watch: With seven shutouts through the first seven games, goalkeeper T.J. White now has 14 career shutouts, placing him fourth on the all-time list. Zach Zamek '10 holds the career shutout mark with 25.

Ben Beaver's pair of goals last week inched him closer to the F&M career goal-scoring mark. The senior forward currently ranks third on the all-time list with 39 goals, behind only Anthony Vattilana (40) and Scott Runyon (44).

In the Rankings: After dropping out of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Rankings last week, the Diplomats vaulted to No. 14 in the latest poll. In the D3soccer.com poll, the Diplomats jumped three spots from No. 15 to No. 12 this week.
