GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's cross country team finished 14th in the 35-team Gettysburg Invitational Saturday. Julia Zielinski paced the Diplomats with a 59th place finish. She completed the 6K course in 25:05.
Bucknell won the team title with three runners in the top five. Kylie Pearse topped the 394-person field with 22:43. Waynesburg finished second, followed by Susquehanna, Muhlenberg and Gettysburg.
Kim Hilfrank Hilfrank (25:14) came in 65th for F&M while Rachel Weiss placed 87th at 25:45. Alyssa Taylor (26:04) crossed in 103rd and Mallory Reed (26:10) was 108th to score for the Diplomats. Kathleen McCutcheon (26:27) and Abby Grehlinger (27:34) also competed for F&M and finished in 120th and 157th, respectively.
The Diplomats return to action Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Centennial Conference championship hosted by Haverford.
