HAVERFORD, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall placed ninth at the 2014 Centennial Conference (CC) Cross Country Championship hosted by Haverford Saturday afternoon. Johns Hopkins took the top five spots to claim the title with 20 points followed by Dickinson (52) and Haverford (86).
Julia Zielinski completed the 6k course in 24:18.1 and placed 47th to lead F&M and Sophia Meehan from Johns Hopkins won the event in 21:37.
Grace Adams placed 56th out of 113 runners with a time of 24:41.1 and Kim Hilfrank turned in a 24:46.3 for a 58th place showing. Kathleen McCutcheon ran 25:36.0 and placed 76th while Alyssa Taylor (25:51.2) and Mallory Reed (25:54.8.) finished 81st and 82nd. Rachel Weiss figured into the team scoring with an 84th place finish with a time of 25:58.4.
F&M returns to action on Nov. 15 at the Mid-East Regionals at Big Spring High School. The race is slated for an 11:00 a.m. start.
