Diplomats Dominate Green Terror

LANCASTER, Pa. – Four different Franklin & Marshall swimmers earned a first-place victory as the Diplomats cruised past McDaniel 104-69 on Friday evening in Centennial Conference (CC) men's swimming action. F&M improved to 3-2, 2-1 CC, while the Green Terror slipped to 0-7, 0-5 CC.

The night began with a win when Andreas Lair Ferrari, William Cappuccio, Richard Perry, and Ryan Caffrey won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:41.79. Dennis Chen touched first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.88, while Caffrey finished in second at 23.07.

David Burton won the 200-yard freestyle at 1:49.71, followed closely by Perry at 1:49.86. Burton took home first place points again, this time in the 100-yard butterfly (55.14). 

In the 100-yard backstroke, Denton placed first at 57.02, while Lair Ferrari dominated the 500-yard freestyle, finishing first at 4:51.23.

F&M continues CC action tomorrow when the Diplomats travel to Collegeville, Pa. for a 1:00 p.m. meet with Ursinus.
