Heading into the final week of the regular season, the race for the top seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament appears to be down to two. Haverford (12-3, 7-0 CC) holds the lead over No. 3 F&M (14-1, 6-0) as well as the tiebreaker. The Diplomats need wins in each of their final two games and need the Fords to fall in both of their remaining contests for a shot at hosting the conference playoffs for the second consecutive year.

Series History: A pair of always-difficult CC foes grace F&M's schedule this week. The all-time lead against Gettysburg stands at 41-35-5, with the Bullets falling in six straight, dating back to 2007. Last season, Janse Schermerhorn's goal in the 26th minute propelled the Diplomats to a 1-0 blanking on Oct. 29.

Against Dickinson, the series has been in F&M's favor of late as the Diplomats are riding a four-game winning streak over the Red Devils. However, last season's contest ended in a 0-0 2OT draw on Nov. 1. Trevor Britton (15-0-2) was a force in net throughout the game, stopping five shots for his 11th shutout of the season and the team's 12th of the year.

Last Week: A commanding 4-0 shutout of Muhlenberg on Wednesday opened F&M's week on a high note. Connor Finn (32nd minute), Ugo Okolie (48th minute), Chase TenBrook (69th minute) and Zach Colton (83rd minute) all scored on the evening, while Britton turned back one shot for his ninth shutout of the season and fifth in his previous seven games.

The Diplomats suffered their first setback of 2015 on Saturday, falling to Haverford by a 3-1 score. F&M's loss snapped a 34-game regular season unbeaten streak, a mark that dated back to Oct. 19, 2013.

In the Rankings: F&M took a hit in both major polls this week, falling to No. 3 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) standings and No. 5 in the D3soccer.com poll. Haverford entered both rankings and now stand at No. 14 (D3soccer.com) and No. 18 (NSCAA).

CC Playoff Outlook: Last week, the Diplomats clinched a spot in the CC Playoffs for the seventh straight year and have guaranteed a first-round bye heading into the final week of the regular season. An updated look at the standings can be found here

The senior goalkeeper's 21 shutouts are second, a record that also belongs to Zamek with 25. Britton's 0.41 goals against average (6 GA, 1305 min) is on a historic pace, leading the season record, which currently stands at 0.44 (4 GA, 810 min) from Walt Lenz in 1952.
