LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 14 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team had its senior day spoiled in a narrow 6-3 loss against No. 13 George Washington on Friday evening at the Mayser Center. 

The hard-fought defeat brought the Diplomats' record to 5-7 on the season while the Colonials improved to 8-6. 

Senior Day 

Before the match, F&M honored its three-member senior class of Emily Caldwell, Cris Margaret Frias Gonzalez and Jazmin Matos. All three players competed, with Matos earning a 3-2 decision in the exhibition match. 

By the Numbers 

Four of the nine matchups in the contest went past three games, including a 3-2 marathon at No. 6 that saw George Washington's Mary Jo Mahfood battle back from being two games down and tally a 3-2 victory against Andreina Benedith. 

Dulakshi Elikewela, Lauren Johnston and Ellen Verry all tallied sweeps in their wins. 

The Diplomat have now fallen in four straight against the Colonials dating back to the 2011-12 season and trail in the all-time series by a 13-5 mark.
