SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's track team competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday, taking on competition from Divisions II and III. The Diplomats looked to sharpen up for the coming weekend's Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.
Lindsey Powers posted the highest F&M finish of the day, taking tenth in the shot put with a distance of 11.51 meters (37'-9.25"). Najee Mendes followed her in 33rd with a heave of 8.43 meters (27'-9"). Powers continued her day in the discus, placing 20th with a mark of 29.01 meters (95'-2.25"), while Mendes took 31st after recording a distance of 20.41 meters (67'-0").
Meredith Malcolm paced the Diplomats on the track, taking 25th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.62. Hana Seglem took 51st in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 2:35.34.
F&M returns to the track on Friday for Day One of the CC Championships. The meet will continue through the weekend before concluding on Sunday.
