LANCASTER, Pa. - Winning each of the 12 events on the day, the Franklin & Marshall Men's Swimming team cruised past McDaniel, 171-42.
John Devaney started the afternoon with a first place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 28.26, and later won the 200-yard freestyle relay along with Matthew Hurford,
Brady Saunders and
Ben Lockey.Â
Sean Conley won a pair of events individually, beginning with a time of 23.66 in the 50-yard butterfly. He then placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.35.
Jack Rowe led the way in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:00.66, while
Nick Lowell finished in first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 26.04. Lowell also won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.47.
Tim Turnbull nearly set a personal record in the 50-yard freestyle, winning it with a time of 21.94, which was .38 off of a career-best.Â
In the 100-yard butterfly,
Ethan Ferris topped all swimmers with a time of 54.59, and was followed by Matthew Hurford, who won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:00.27.Â
Amongst the remaining individual events,
Sam Kamdin led the way in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.14 and
Jason Creed notched a win in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.10.Â
Following over a month-long break, the Diplomats will next travel to Bloomsburg on Saturday, January 13 at 1 p.m.
