LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team dropped a home match to No. 1 Penn, 9-0, Friday evening at the Mayser Squash Courts. F&M pieced together close matches throughout the lineup, but couldn't overtake their opponent as the Quakers blanked the Diplomats.
Aditya Chandani played the closest match of the day for the Diplomats out of the No. 6 slot. Chandani led 2-1 in the contest, but his opponent won the last two games to claim the match-victory.
Sharan Punjabi (No. 3) and
Evann Tan (No. 9) also played tight matches against their respective opponents. However, both Diplomats were defeated by a final score of 3-1.
Franklin & Marshall will look to get back in the win column as it competes in a doubleheader in Philadelphia on Saturday. The Diplomats play No. 20 Chatham at 10:00 a.m. before taking on No. 27 Dickinson at 2:30 p.m.
