Katzer and Ponce Earn CSA Scholar-Athlete Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall squash program had two of its members named recipients of the 2025-26 College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar Athlete Award. Noah Katzer and Destiny Ponce both received the award for the first time in their respective careers.

The Scholar Athlete Award is granted to student-athletes who have earned a varsity letter and competed in CSA-sanctioned matches during the 2025-2026 season while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Katzer finished his year with 12 wins, playing primarily in the No. 5 slot. Katzer had his biggest victory of the season come against No. 14 Navy, winning the No. 5 match in five games, 11-7, 3-11, 10-12, 11-9, 11-7. The Sherman, Connecticut native finished his career with 47 victories, winning six of his last 10 matches.

Ponce concluded the season with seven wins, playing primarily in the No. 8 match. Ponce picked up a big four-game victory in the win over No. 23 Dickinson in early-February. After winning the first two games, 11-9, 12-10, Ponce put the match away with a 11-6 victory in the fourth.

Men's squash finished the season with a 14-10 record, reaching as high as No. 16 in the national rankings. Women's squash ended the 2025-26 campaign with an 8-13 record, concluding the year tabbed No. 23 in the national rankings.
