LANCASTER, Pa. – Following a great winter season, the Franklin & Marshall squash program had three of its members honored on the Mid-Atlantic Squash All-Conference teams.
Kyle Broadhurst earned first-team recognition, while
Ashanti Amastal and
Sharan Punjabi were honored on the second team.
Broadhurst earned first-team recognition for the third-consecutive season, notching 19 total victories with 12 of those wins coming in the No. 1 slot. Broadhurst started the year with a big win over No. 8 Drexel's No. 1 player, earning the victory in four games. The senior recorded four victories over teams ranked in the top-15 of the national rankings. Broadhurst also ended his F&M career on a five-match winning streak, earning victories in all three of his matches at the CSA Team National Championships.
Amastal was the only member of the F&M women's squash team to be honored on the All-MASC teams, receiving second-team recognition for the first time in her career. Amastal earned five wins during the 2025-26 season with all five coming in the No. 1 match. The sophomore had her biggest win come in late-November as she took down No. 18 Bowdoin's top player in a three-game sweep. Amastal was a key player in F&M's run in the CSA Team National Championships, helping defeat No. 22 Hamilton on the second day of the tournament.
Punjabi earned a spot on the second team for the third-consecutive year, following a season where he registered 16 wins playing primarily in the No. 2 slot. Punjabi finished the year winning seven of his final eight matches. The junior registered four wins over top-15 opponents, including a big five-game win over No. 12 Williams' top player in early-January.Â
Both teams were well represented on the MASC All-Academic teams, with the men's team having four selections and the women's team sporting two honorees. The honorees from the men's team include
Aditya Chandani,
Toby Clegg-Petri,
Teerth Jilka, and
Noah Katzer. The representatives from the women's team include
Destiny Ponce and
Lavanya Seshasayee.
Men's squash finished the season with a 14-10 record, reaching as high as No. 16 in the national rankings. Women's squash ended the 2025-26 campaign with an 8-13 record, concluding the year tabbed No. 23 in the national rankings.
