LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin and Marshall men's swimming team (3-2, 2-2 CC) picked up the program's fifth consecutive dual meet victory in the over against non-conference opponent Mary Washington 135.5-126.5 on Saturday. The team picked up eight event wins and 21 total top-three finishes.
 
Evan Willertz, Patrick Rooney, Tim Turnbull, and Henry Tavens started the afternoon with a 400 medley relay victory, while Nick Lowell, Luke Healey, Joe Clarkson, and John Devaney finished in third. 
In the final event of the meet, Willertz, Tavens, Ben Lockey, and Devaney won the 400 freestyle relay, while Turnbull, Thomas Smolinski, Brady Saunders, and Joe Clarkson earned silver.

The Diplomats swept the top-three spots in the 50 freestyle, with Smolinski in first, Devaney in second, and Lockey in third. 

Devaney went on to win the 100 freestyle, while Lockey claimed bronze. 

Rooney picked up third top-threes as an individual, winning the 100 breaststroke, finishing second in the 200 IM, and claiming third place in the 500 freestyle.

Tavens won the 200 freestyle, and Matthew Tilghman earned the 1000 freestyle win. Willertz claimed the 100 butterfly victory.

The Diplomats are on the road for the first time this season next Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m., as they head to Kutztown.
