Dunnigan Breaks Own School Record in 60 Meter Dash

LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team saw Lauren Dunnigan set a school record and win an individual event, while teammate Jordyn Collie also captured the 800 meter title at the Coach I Invitational on Saturday.

Dunnigan's newest personal best of 7.92 seconds in the 60 meter dash broke her own school record in that event and qualified her to the finals where her time of 7.97 seconds placed her third in the final standings. The sophomore's individual win came in the 60 meter hurdles where she also holds the school record for that event. She qualified to the finals of the hurdles with a 9.14 second time which was the best of the qualifying heats and currently ranks 35th in all of Division III this season. During the finals, her time of 9.17 seconds was still enough to surpass the field for the individual win.

Collie's individual win – the Diplomats' second of the afternoon – came after she set a new personal best of 2:25.20 in the 800 meters. That time was also good enough to rank her 10th in school history for the event. Annalise Kauffman (fourth, 2:28.30), Tara Silverman (ninth, 2:32.06), and Katie Scott (10th, 2:33.39) gave Franklin & Marshall four of the top 10 finishers in that event. Silverman went on to claim sixth in the mile with a new PR of 5:28.74 which now ranks eighth in school history. Georgia Hodgson (5:48.98) and Hana Hyman (6:05.73) also achieved new personal best times in the mile.

Bella Johnson earned sixth place finish in the 400 meters with her time of 1:02.79, while Brianna Coolican set a new personal best of 29.85 seconds in the 200 meters. In the relays, the 4x400 team of Collie, Kauffman, Emily Jones, Scott claimed fifth place with a time of 4:26.49.

In field event action, Amanda Imhauser's 4.76 meter long jump earned her ninth place and a new personal record, while she logged a 1.27 meter high jump mark. Imhauser was additionally marked at 8.49 meters in the shot put. Other field event leaders for F&M included Hayden Adams (pole vault, 2.43m), Lena Bell (triple jump, 8.86m), and Jiali Pickering (weight throw, 8.73m).

The Diplomats will have the upcoming week away from competition as they prepare to host their final home meet of the regular season as the Blue & White Invitational is set for Saturday, February 8 inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
