Men's Golf Places Fifth at Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic

WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team carded scores of 295 and 290 to conclude the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic with an overall team score of 585 (nine-over par), placing fifth in the field of 18 teams at Waynesboro Country Club. McDaniel came away with the win in the tournament, shooting an overall score of 582 (six-over par) in the two-day event.

Oliver Clark led the Diplomats with a tournament score of 145 (one-over par) to tie for eighth out of 95 competing golfers. Clark tallied five birdies and seven pars in round one, followed by six birdies and eight pars in the final round. Max Silverman also carded a 145 for the weekend by notching round scores of 72 and 73. Silverman had three birdies and 12 pars, followed by two birdies and 13 pars on Sunday. Ryan Klarreich had a solid showing over the weekend, shooting a 72 and 74 to end the tournament with an overall score of 146 (two-over par) and placing in a tie for 13th. Klarreich registered one eagle, two birdies and 12 pars on Saturday, followed by three birdies and 11 pars on Sunday. Wayne He carded a 76 and 73 for the tournament to tie for 24th with an overall score of 149 (five-over par). Sebastian Botero wrapped up the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic by firing scores of 76 and 77 to tie for 39th with a score of 153 (nine-over par).

Franklin & Marshall heads to Bent Creek Country Club on Monday to begin the Lancaster Bible Fall Invitational.
