SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – Lauren Dunnigan broke her own school record in both the 60 meter dash and 60 meter hurdles on Saturday to headline the Franklin & Marshall's women's indoor track & field performances at the Susquehanna Invitational. Those two school records were a part of seven new additions to the College's top 10 record book from the meet.
In addition to breaking her own records, Dunnigan is now the top ranked runner in the Centennial Conference for both of those events. She took a second-place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with her newest personal best being clocked at 9.04 seconds. Dunnigan's time of 7.87 seconds in the 60 meter dash garnered her third place in the meet in addition to the top time in the Centennial Conference this season.
The Diplomats were able to grab gold in the distance medley relay as the team of Tara Silverman, Annalise Kauffman, Jordyn Collie, and Katie Scott crossed the line in a time of 13:02.09. That was another strong performance which ranks fourth in school history.
Several members of that relay also found individual success as Kauffman placed fifth in the 800 meters (2:22.94), registering the sixth-fastest time in school history. Emily Jones also had a strong performance in that event with a 17th-place finish in 2:30.01. Silverman claimed sixth place in the 3,000 meters, crossing the line in a time of 11:08.88. Collie continued her strong indoor campaign by finishing 12th in the 400 meters (1:04.03).
Franklin & Marshall was led by Bella Johnson and Hana Hyman in the 200 meters and the mile to add to a strong day on the track. Johnson was 12th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.35 seconds which now ranks eighth in school history. Hyman's time of 5:54.33 led the team in the mile with a 17th-place finish.
The Diplomats added two more top 10 finishes in school history during the field events. Amanda Imhauser posted the fourth-best long jump in program history as she was marked at 5.02 meters to claim a top-five event finish at Susquehanna. Hayden Adams added another top-five event finish as she cleared 2.90 meters in the pole vault and now ranks fifth in program history for that event. In addition to her multiple school records, Dunnigan took fifth in the triple jump with her best mark coming at 10.29 meters.
Women's track & field has one more regular season meet on its indoor schedule before the Diplomats host the Centennial Conference Championships during the first weekend in March. That final regular season indoor meet will see the team travel to Cornell for the Deneault Invitational on Saturday, February 22.
