LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team opened the Centennial Conference Swimming Championship weekend with Session I, featuring the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay. The highlight of the night for the Diplomats saw the 200 medley relay "A" team claim third place in the championship final, while the team is third overall through the first finals session.

The team of Rachel Baker, Catherine Crampton, Caitlin Barr, and Madi Bickford claimed third place with a time of 1:46.13 in the 200 medley relay, while Sophie Bergstrom, Samantha Taylor, Sophie Moyer, and Matti Harvey were third in the consolation final, finishing the event in 1:47.98.

Crampton, Bickford, Ava Tseng, and Georgia May were fourth in the championship final of the 800 freestyle relay, finishing in 7:50.05. Harvey, Kala Zingle, Barr, and Bergstrom were third in the consolation final with a time of 7:54.79. 

The Diplomats return to the Kunkel Aquatic Center for the second day tomorrow with sessions at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tomorrow's events include the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, and 400 medley relay.
