ITHACA, N.Y. – The Franklin & Marshall women's indoor track & field team set five new marks in the program's all-time record book on Saturday as the Diplomats competed at Cornell University in the Marc Deneault Invitational. Those record-breaking performances included Lauren Dunnigan once again resetting her own school record in the 60 meter hurdles.
Dunnigan took third overall in that event after advancing to the finals where her time of 8.98 seconds was her first time going under nine seconds. Her newest personal best ranks 33rd in all of Division III. During that same event, Hayden Adams posted the 10th-best 60 meter hurdle time in school history (10.17) after clearing three meters in the pole vault for the fifth-best Diplomat mark all-time in that event.
The top 10 performances in F&M history continued on the track with Bella Johnson posting the fourth-best 200 meter dash time (27.04). Dunnigan added to her strong performance on the day with the 10th-quickest time in school history (27.15) for that event. Nobody had a busier day than Amanda Imhauser as she posted top 20 finishes in the long jump (4.58m), shot put (9.06m), and 60 meter hurdles (10.73).
Women's track & field will now turn its full attention to the upcoming Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships which are slated for Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2.
