Men's Swimming Earns Third Place to Conclude Centennial Championship

LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team wrapped up the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship on Sunday night with a third-place finish in the points standings. The night saw the 400 freestyle relay team earn silver, while the Diplomats placed four individuals into championship finals and six individuals into consolation finals.

Sam Kamdin, Henry Tavens, Ben Lockey, and John Devaney earned second in the 400 freestyle relay championship with a time of 3:01.58, while Brady Saunders, Evan Willertz, Riley Williams, and Tim Turnbull placed third in the consolation final, finishing in 3:10.74. 

Kamdin placed sixth in the 100 freestyle championship final with a 45.65. The time is now the third-best time in the event in program history. Three Diplomats earned consolation finals in the event, led by Devaney in second place with a time of 46.67. Tavens was third with a time of 46.54, while Lockey claimed 12th in 46.72.  

Patrick Rooney claimed fifth in the 200 breaststroke championship final with a time of 2:05.52. It's a PR improvement, and he stays fourth in program history. Luke Healey also made his way into the 200 breaststroke championship final, and he finished in eighth place with a time of 2:06.68. The first-year logged the fifth-best time in program history.

Matthew Tilghman earned seventh in the 1650 championship final with a time of 16:36.51. He also raced in the 200 butterfly consolation final, claiming third place in 1:56.91, while Turnbull was fifth with a time of 1:59.54. 

Nick Lowell was fourth in the 200 backstroke consolation final, finishing the race in 1:55.90. 

Franklin & Marshall ended the weekend with five medals and a third-place finish with 466 points.
