LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team (5-5, 3-3 Centennial) competed in their final event ahead of Centennial Conference Championships, as they hosted the Franklin & Marshall Spring Invitational on Saturday. Nick Lowell set the program's ninth-best 50 backstroke split as part of the event.

The invite, which also featured Gettysburg, included time trials in preparation for conference championships in two weeks' time.

Lowell's 24.76 split in the 50 backstroke portion of the 200 medley relay is now the ninth-best split in program history. The team of Lowell, Patrick Rooney, Evan Willertz, and Tim Turnbull set a time of 1:36.16 in the race. 

Sam Kamdin, Thomas Smolinski, John Devaney, and Ben Lockey logged a 1:24.06 in a running of the 200 freestyle relay. 

The Diplomats next compete in the Centennial Conference Championships from Thursday, February 20, through Sunday, February 23.
