ITHACA, N.Y. – The Franklin & Marshall women's track & field competed at the All-Atlantic Regional Indoor Championship over the weekend with a number of outstanding performances. The championship meet was highlighted by Lauren Dunnigan breaking her own 60 meter hurdle program record in a time of 8.73 seconds.
Dunnigan further reduced her program record in the preliminary heats where she was sixth overall to earn a spot in the final where she took sixth with a time of 8.87 seconds. She broke her own school record of 8.84 set at last weekend's Centennial Conference Track & Field Championships and now owns the 11th-fastest time in Division III this season.
The distance medley relay team of Annalise Kauffman, Bella Johnson, Jordyn Collie, and Katie Scott placed seventh at the regional championship with a time of 12:35.53, earning two points in the event. That time is now the third-best DMR in program history.
The Diplomats return for the final day of the All-Atlantic Regional Championship on Saturday. They have athletes set to compete in the 800 meters and 60 meter hurdle finals during the second and final day of the regional championship.
