MECHANICSBURG, Pa.- Amanda Imhauser opened the Messiah Invitational by competing in the first four events on the heptathlon on Thursday. She ended the first day in fourth place.
Thursday's portion of the heptathlon consisted of the 100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 200 meter dash. She finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles in 17.08, while she had the fifth-best mark in the high jump (1.32 meters). Imhauser was also fifth in both the shot put (9.06 meters) and 200 meter dash (29.17). She currently maintains fourth place with 2026 points.
She'll compete in the long jump, javelin throw, and 800 meters to conclude the seven-leg event on Friday, while other members of the team will compete in the discus throw.Â
