ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's outdoor track & field team returned to action at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday. Hayden Adams (high jump) and Mackenzie Ward (javelin) were both individual event winners as the Diplomats posted four top 10 times in school history. Those scores added up to a fifth-place team finish for the Diplomats.
Adams won the high jump competition when she cleared 1.42 meters. That performance highlighted a strong day across multiple events as she also placed third in the pole vault (2.89 meters) and led the team in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.81 seconds. Competing in the mid-distance events, Katie Scott and Tara Silverman both doubled in the 800 and 1,500 meters. Scott turned in a pair of scoring performances with a fourth-place finish in the 1,500 meters (4:56.38) and eighth-place showing in the 800 meters (2:28.61).
