Four Named 2025 Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes

LANCASTER, Pa.- Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team members Tai Jespersen, Moemen Ibrahim, Eli Wallace, and Max Goldman were named to Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) 2025 Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes. 

Max Goldman became a first-time IRCA Scholar Athlete. The sophomore was named to the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Academic Honor Roll this year and was named to the Franklin & Marshall 2025 Delphic Student-Athlete Honor Society. Goldman was part of the Varsity 8+ crew that was named MARC Crew of the Week this past April. 

Moemen Ibrahim secured an IRCA Scholar Athlete nod for the second. He was named to the MARC Academic Honor Roll twice and was selected to the Franklin & Marshall 2025 Delphic Student-Athlete Honor Society. Ibrahim was also named to the MARC Crew of the Week in April.

Tai Jespersen also earned the IRCA Scholar Athlete award for the second time. The junior captain is a two-time MARC Academic Honor Roll member and was named to the Franklin & Marshall 2025 Delphic Student-Athlete Honor Society. He was also on the Varsity 8+ crew named the MARC Crew of the Week in April.

Eli Wallace was named an IRCA Scholar Athlete for the first time. The senior was named to the MARC Academic Honor Roll for the first time this year and was named to the Franklin & Marshall 2025 Delphic Student-Athlete Honor Society. Wallace was also named to the MARC Rew of the Week this past April.

In order to be named a "scholar athlete", rowers and coxswains must have met the following criteria:

  • Athletes from all IRCA Member Schools are eligible

  • Athletes must be in their second year or more of eligibility

  • Athletes must have competed in their program's top 3 boats during the current season or raced at the 2022 IRA Championship.

  • Athletes must have, at least, a 3.50 cumulative GPA through fall semester.
