LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team gears up for a highly anticipated 2025 season, opening the new campaign at home against Stockton on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The Diplomats are coming off a 2024 schedule that saw F&M make its 15th-consecutive appearance in the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament and 11th-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Franklin & Marshall looks to continue that streak and make a deep playoff push during the 2025 season.
2025 Diplomats
Franklin & Marshall finished last season with a 10-3-7 record, while earning a 7-1-1 record in Centennial Conference play. The Diplomats started 2024 with a 13-match unbeaten streak, clinching the No. 2 seed in the CC Tournament. Despite falling in the second round of the conference tournament, F&M responded with a 1-0 victory over Western Connecticut State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Six members of the 2024 squad were honored on the All-Centennial Conference team with three also being named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Region V team. Additionally,
Koa Kaliebe '25 was named a first-team All-America selection from United Soccer Coaches.
Franklin & Marshall's current roster consists of five seniors, five juniors, eight sophomores, and seven first-year players.

Players to Watch
Jack Borden started all 20 games for Franklin & Marshall last season, earning fourth-team All-Region honors. Borden scored four goals and tallied one assist in 2024, while also playing the most minutes by a non-goalkeeper with 1,556 minutes in the midfield.
Thomas Kaplan had an impressive rookie season, earning All-CC Honorable Mention status in 2024. In 18 starts, Kaplan scored four goals with two of those scores being game-winners. The Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania native helped the Diplomats down Muhlenberg in mid-October, followed by a go-ahead goal in the victory over Washington College in early-November.
Nolan Booth returns to the net after earning All-CC Honorable Mention recognition last season. In 20 starts last year, Booth recorded a 1.12 goals-against average and a save percentage of 73.5 percent. Booth earned a 10-3-7 record with five shutouts last season.
Nathan Schlessinger played in 20 games for the Diplomats last season, scoring three goals and recording two assists in the midfield. Additionally, Schlessinger also ended the year with 30 total shots and 11 shots on goal.
Nico Gonzalez appeared in 19 games with 18 starts in 2024, scoring his first-career goal against Rowan in early-September. Gonzalez also recorded an assist against Dickinson later that season to finish the year with four points. A stellar defender, Gonzalez helped the Diplomats to five shutout-victories last fall.
The Road Ahead
Men's soccer starts the new season at home Friday against Stockton, before the road for a three-game stretch against Rowan (Aug. 31), Denison (Sept. 5), and Kenyon (Sept. 7). F&M then hosts Elizabethtown on September 13, followed by a road match at York (Pa.) on September 17. The Diplomats begin Centennial Conference action with a home match against Muhlenberg on September 20. Following that match, F&M plays road games at Lynchburg (Sept. 24) and Swarthmore (Sept. 27) before returning to Tylus Field to host Washington College (Sept. 30).
The Diplomats play Dickinson (Oct. 4) and Albright (Oct. 8) on the road before hosting Gettysburg (Oct. 11) and Johns Hopkins (Oct. 18). F&M wraps up the regular season with a road game at Ursinus (Oct. 22), home game versus Haverford (Oct. 25), and an away match at McDaniel (Nov. 1).
The Centennial Conference Tournament will be held on November 4 to November 9. The NCAA Tournament will be played on November 15 to Dec 7 with the Final Four and National Championship being held in Salem, Virginia.

Franklin & Marshall was selected third in the Centennial Conference Coaches Preseason Poll with 62 points. Johns Hopkins was picked as the top team in the poll, receiving 77 points and six first-place votes. Dickinson closely followed with 73 points and four first-place votes. View the complete poll
